This estate rests on 37+ acres in the heart of Sonoma County, California’s beautiful Wine Country.   Comprised of open meadows and tree-covered knolls, it is the quintessential Northern California dream property; only minutes from town, yet private and secluded.  Many miles of walking, hiking, biking and horse riding trails are merely steps from the back door.  Once part of the McDonald Ranch Subdivision, this parcel was originally much larger.  In 1951, Grover and Mercy sold off a number of acres to afford them the opportunity to build this, their 4,300 sq. ft. dream home.

Until now, the Stone family were the only ones to call this house and land their home.  Their fingerprints remain etched in the folds of this property, but the torch has been passed, and the adventure begins to bring new life to their beloved Colonial home.

This project consists of fully renovating a 1951 Colonial home creating a beautiful and efficient dream home.  Much of the original character and charm will be retained while making it livable for today's lifestyle.  Additional construction consists of building a 1,600 sq. ft. ground floor master suite addition; and to construct a 2,700 sq. ft. rustic entertainment barn, the "Taj Ma Barn", to host private music events and fundraisers for local charities.

Hope you enjoyed your visit!

This huge interior design and home renovation adventure will certainly test me, but I'm throwing caution to the wind and plunging head first into design euphoria. I have  great things in store for Mrs. Colonial, and hope I can share every exciting and beautiful detail with you!
